The Maremma Sheepdog is a breed of livestock guardian dog indigenous to central Italy bred for centuries to guard large flocks of sheep on the plains and in the mountains. They originally lived day and night with their flock.
Anatolian Shepherd
The breed originated in the rugged terrain of Anatolia, a region of Turkey, where it is believed to have existed for thousands of years protecting flocks of sheep from wolves and other predators.
